If you have any questions about this policy or want to access or correct personal information, contact kyle@adventurenest.co.nz.
1. Who this policy covers
Adventure Nest is a developing software platform intended to help travel businesses coordinate tours, suppliers, bookings and related operations. This policy covers information handled through the public Adventure Nest website and, where applicable, its business platform.
Businesses using the platform may also have their own privacy obligations and notices relating to travellers, staff and suppliers. Where a business decides what information is entered into the platform and why, that business remains responsible for those decisions.
2. Information we may handle
Depending on how you interact with us, this may include:
- Contact details you provide when emailing or enquiring about Adventure Nest.
- Account details such as name, email address, organisation, role and sign-in identifiers for invited platform users.
- Travel-related operational information entered by authorised business users, which may include names, booking references, itinerary details, accommodation requirements and supplier communications.
- Technical information reasonably needed to operate and protect the services, such as IP address, browser information, login events and diagnostic logs.
3. Why we use information
We use information to respond to enquiries, provide and administer the platform, authenticate users, coordinate access for authorised organisations, maintain security, troubleshoot problems, improve reliability and meet applicable legal obligations. We do not use information in ways inconsistent with the purposes for which it was collected without an appropriate legal basis.
4. Service providers and integrations
Delivering a hosted software service involves infrastructure, identity and communications providers. These may include Cloudflare for hosting and security, Clerk for identity management, and the relevant identity provider if you choose Google or another supported sign-in method. A customer may also authorise integrations with its own business systems. Providers may process limited information required to perform those functions and may operate outside New Zealand.
Access to platform information is intended to be scoped to authorised organisations and users. Any integration-specific disclosures should also be explained by the business using that integration.
5. Cookies and website usage
The public pages of this website do not intentionally include advertising pixels or third-party behavioural analytics scripts. Essential hosting and security functions may process request information. The sign-in service and protected platform may use cookies or similar technologies required for sessions, authentication and fraud prevention.
6. Storage, security and retention
We aim to use appropriate technical and organisational safeguards for the personal information we handle. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Information is retained for as long as reasonably needed for the relevant service, legitimate business purposes or legal requirements, and is then deleted or de-identified when appropriate.
7. Your privacy rights
Under New Zealand's Privacy Act 2020, individuals generally have rights to request access to and correction of their personal information, subject to applicable exceptions. Contact us using the address above. If the information was supplied by a travel business using Adventure Nest, we may need to coordinate with that business to respond to your request.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the platform develops or our practices change. The latest version and its update date will be available at this page.
